The idea of becoming a flower farmer came to me one day when I was at the computer, planning a baby shower. I was wondering where I could go to get really beautiful, unique flowers for the table centerpieces. The grocery store flowers were not doing it for me. I called a local florist and asked if I could buy peonies from her. She said that peonies were out of season, and even if she could get them it would cost a fortune. I thought to myself: I could grow the flowers that I am looking for, and I could sell them! Right away the name Wild One Flower Farm popped into my head and I became very excited for this new adventure. One of my all-time favorite songs is Real Wild Child by Iggy Pop. When I was a kid, my dad would crank up the volume on our stereo and my whole family would dance like crazy to this song. The name sealed the deal for me. I started researching and I realized that there are so many amazing varieties of cut flowers that I had been missing out on. I love growing them and sharing them with my community.

Flowers encourage and motivate me. They remind me: Life can be tough, but don't back down from the challenge. Keep growing and find out what comes next!
